Aeration

Aeration provides a number of benefits. First, it breaks up soil compaction, allowing oxygen and water to get down to the root system so grass can grow thicker and healthier. Secondly, it provides good conditions for over seeding, which allows new grass to establish itself and help fill in thin areas. Annual aeration is a great way to maintain a healthy lawn. Fall is the best time to aerate and over seed the lawn as it gives 2 cool seasons of growth (fall and spring) before the heat of summer and also establishes the new seed which allows us to apply crabgrass pre-emergent in the spring.

Grub Control

Grubs are the larvae of Japanese Beetles and can destroy a lawn. They cause severe damage by eating the roots of your grass. Brown patches in your lawn can be an indicator of grub damage.  Unfortunately, once you have grubs, the damage is done. The only way to prevent the damage is to prevent the grubs from emerging at all. A separate application is made to the entire lawn to eliminate the grub worms before they can do any serious damage to the lawn. This application is usually made in the late Spring/Early Summer and will provide protection through the following Spring.

Moles

Moles burrow tunnels  which have raised lines that go randomly across the lawn in different directions. The grass above the tunnels will eventually die out, leaving streaks of dead grass. Unfortunately, there is little you can do to prevent moles, but once they show up, we can eliminate them.
