Aeration provides a number of benefits. First, it breaks up soil compaction, allowing oxygen and water to get down to the root system so grass can grow thicker and healthier. Secondly, it provides good conditions for over seeding, which allows new grass to establish itself and help fill in thin areas. Annual aeration is a great way to maintain a healthy lawn. Green Pro Lawns will be in your area aerating. Call today to schedule a tentative date. 740-522-2369
Grubs are the larvae of Japanese Beetles and can destroy a lawn. They cause severe damage by eating the roots of your grass. Brown patches in your lawn can be an indicator of grub damage. Unfortunately, once you have grubs, the damage is done. The only way to prevent the damage is to prevent the grubs from emerging at all. A separate application is made to the entire lawn to eliminate the grub worms before they can do any serious damage to the lawn. This application is usually made in the late Spring and will provide protection through the following Spring.
Whether you are concerned about fleas and ticks bothering your pets or have surface feeding insects such as chinch bugs, sod webworms and billbugs a separate application can be made over the lawn to eliminate the pest. This application can be made any time there is a problem with these insects but control is usually only required in the late Spring through early Fall.
Moles burrow tunnels which have raised lines that go randomly across the lawn in different directions. The grass above the tunnels will eventually die out, leaving streaks of dead grass. Unfortunately, there is little you can do to prevent moles, but once they show up, we can eliminate them.
